Adventure is Out There
Adventure
is out there, if you can make time to find it.
This is one of my very first
paintings, and I am somewhat happy with how it turned out.
I am not completely happy with how
the sky looks in the background. I found it hard to mix the shades of blue to
create the sky look at I wanted.
While painting the balloons I found
that it took a lot of patience, time, and talent all of which I do not have a
great amount of. I realized that you need to let each color dry completely
before painting the next. If you look at the white parts of my painting, the
clouds, letters, and balloon strings, you will be able to see that the white I
was using was not the highest quality. I realize now that I need to go back
over those spots on the painting and make the white lines more solid.
I found when I was working on this
painting by stress level was significantly lowered. I was able to focus my all
my energy into this painting. I have found that painting once a week for one to
two hours helps me clear my mind and stress from the previous day/week.
I know I am far from being the next
Pablo Picasso, but I feel that I have already improved my painting skills and
overall mental health.
